Rules for Joining

1. You’d have to be a RPer, of course, and one who doesn’t mind getting PMs inquiring about RPs. It’s okay if you’re not immediately looking for someone to RP with, but as long as you’re interested, you can join.

2. There has to be quality in your post. This means that you have to work at it; be professional and remember to use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. The ‘I’m too lazy’ excuse won’t work here. Your RP partners deserve your very best, as I’m sure that’s what you’d like in return.

Expanding on this a bit; please don’t be afraid to grow as a writer. I’m not asking you to compromise with your decisions or beliefs, but to give new things a chance. Experimenting with writing and gaining new experiences are all part of the game. I’ve gone through trial and error plenty of times, but in my successes I’m glad that I tried something new.

3. Respect other RPers. One thing I will not tolerate, and especially not for this webring, are bashers. RPers are still RPers, despite their writing skills, beliefs, ideas, and limits. You don’t have a right to look down on them; people grow with experience, and if you’re just going to sit around judging them, you’re not giving them a chance. You don’t have to RP with the other person, or even agree on the things they like or do, but be civil. The reason people RP is because they like to write, so let them do it in peace, please.

4. You must have a site to link to us, and for us to link to you. Please post the webring somewhere on the site. Also, your rules, genre, and contact sections must be posted. We’re not taking in sites that are incomplete in those areas, because people won’t be able to find the RP information they’re looking for otherwise.

5. Please contact me to join with your name (whatever you like to be called), the genres you’re interested in, your preferences (mxm, mxf, fxf), and your limits (in regards to violence, romance, and language.)

What is a webring/how does it work?

According to Wikipedia, “A webring is a collection of websites joined together in a circular structure. To be part of a webring, a navigation bar is put on the page, containing links to the previous and next site. By clicking ‘next’ (or ‘previous’) repeatedly, a surfer will eventually reach the site they started at; hence the term ‘webring’. However, the click-through route around the ring is usually supplemented by a central site with links to all member-sites; this prevents the ring from breaking completely if a member site goes offline.”

This is the first webring I’ve ever started, so pardon me if it’s a little rough. ^^;; I’ll just provide the HTML codes for these and you can post them on the front or in the links page of your website. Just tell me which image you want to use, ne?
